The content here
The essays, programme descriptions, photographs, and other materials we publish on this site are owned by ArtoEast or licensed to us by the photographers credited at the bottom of each page (typically via Unsplash). The text and curation are our work; the photographs remain the work of the photographer named in the credit.
You may quote short passages of our writing with attribution and a link back to the original page. Reproducing larger sections, translating, or republishing requires our written permission. Write to us — we are usually generous.
What we don’t guarantee
The site is provided as a description of how we work and what we are thinking about. Specific programme details, regions we operate in, and people we collaborate with change over time. Nothing on this site constitutes a binding commitment to run a particular programme, visit a particular place, or include a particular host.
We do our best to keep practical information current and accurate. If you spot an error, please write to us so we can correct it.
Acceptable use
Please do not use this site to attempt unauthorised access to our systems, scrape content at scale for commercial republication, or submit deceptive enquiries. We reserve the right to refuse communication where any of these is suspected.
Third-party links
We link to outside sites where they are useful — UNESCO, museum collections, photographer profiles, and so on. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any site we link to.

Governing law
These terms and your use of artoeast.com are governed by the laws of Hong Kong. Any dispute that we cannot resolve directly will be submitted to the courts of Hong Kong.
